Origin

Where it started

Finga Fingerboards is the handmade Czech deck brand Petr Ptáček has run since around 2005. It is one of the purest maker stories in fingerboarding: the founder is also the only person who cuts, grinds, glues, colors, and packs the boards.1, 2

The push

What changed

Ptáček isn't just a maker — he's a three-time Fast Fingers world champion (2013–2015), which makes Finga the rare brand designed by someone operating at the absolute top of the sport. That dual identity — champion and craftsman — gives the decks unusual credibility, and the brand has kept its handmade values even as the scene professionalized around it.1, 2

Signature

What they pushed forward

Finga's pioneering is the fusion of elite riding and solo craft — the boards are shaped by the same hands that won world titles.

  • Solo-handmade wooden decks (since ~2005): Every Finga deck is made start-to-finish by one person — Petr Ptáček. That single-maker integrity is the brand's whole identity and a model for the boutique deck scene.1
  • A champion's deck (3× Fast Fingers, 2013–2015): Finga is built by a three-time world champion, pairing his own decks with a signature YTrucks 'Petr Pro' — gear proven at the front of the global field.2, 3

Legacy

Why it still matters

Finga is what happens when the best rider in the world also runs the workshop. It set a high bar for credibility in handmade decks — and showed that one person, in the Czech Republic, can be both champion and brand.1, 2
