Grail Draws

A Grail Draw is a free-to-enter listing format for special pieces. Entrants join during the draw window, and selected winners get the first chance to buy through Kingpin checkout.

Free to enter

Entry does not require a purchase. The listing price only matters if you are selected and choose to buy.

First chance to buy

A selected winner gets the purchase opportunity before the item moves to another eligible entrant.

Timed claim window

Selected winners currently have 72 hours to complete checkout.

How it works

From listing to checkout

Grail Draws keep rare or high-demand pieces organized around a clear entry window, random selection from eligible entries, a public ticket confirmation, and a limited winner claim period.

  1. 01

    The seller sets a draw

The seller chooses Grail Draws as the listing type, adds photos, price, shipping, quantity, and a clear opening and closing time.

  2. 02

    Entrants join for free

Eligible Kingpin members enter while the draw is open. Each accepted entry receives a ticket number and confirmation state.

  3. 03

    Eligible tickets are drawn

After the draw closes, Kingpin randomly selects from eligible entries. It is not based on who entered first, follower count, or seller preference.

  4. 04

    Winners get the claim window

After the draw closes, selected winners get the first chance to complete checkout for the item through the normal purchase flow.

  5. 05

    Unclaimed pieces can move on

If a selected winner does not complete checkout in time, another eligible entrant may be selected so the listing can keep moving.

For sellers

Make the draw easy to trust

Treat a Grail Draw like a polished product listing. The better the listing, the easier it is for entrants to understand what they are hoping to buy if selected.

Show the exact item

Use clear photos, condition notes, brand details, and any important flaws so entrants know what the selected winner will be purchasing.

Pick a fair window

Set a start and end time that gives people enough time to see the listing, enter, and come back when the winner is selected.

Keep quantity honest

Quantity controls how many winners can be selected. Use one for a single piece, or the real available quantity for multiples.

Random selection stays neutral

Once the draw closes, eligible entries are selected at random. Keep the listing terms clear so entrants understand what the selected winner will be able to buy.

Use normal checkout

Winners still pay through Kingpin checkout, so pricing, shipping, payment protection, and order tracking stay familiar.

For entrants

Before you tap enter

A strong account makes your entry cleaner and reduces avoidable rejection states.

  • Sign in with the account you actually plan to use at checkout.
  • Complete your basic profile before entering.
  • Confirm your email when the listing requires verified email.
  • Enter once, then watch the listing for ticket and claim updates.

Entry eligibility

Why an entry might not be accepted

Kingpin keeps rejection messages public and simple. Some checks are intentionally summarized so private account and fair-play checks are not exposed.

The draw is not open

The listing may be scheduled for later, already closed, cancelled, paused, or no longer accepting entries.

You already entered

Each account gets one active entry per Grail Draw. Re-entering the same draw is rejected so tickets stay fair.

Your account needs setup

Some draws require a verified email, a complete profile, and an account that has been active long enough to enter.

Seller or team relationship

Sellers, team members, or closely connected accounts should not enter their own draw.

Account restrictions

Restricted, inactive, or removed accounts cannot enter active Grail Draws.

Unusual entry patterns

Entries can be declined when activity looks automated, duplicated, or inconsistent with fair community participation.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I pay to enter a Grail Draw?

No. Entry is free. You only pay if you are selected and choose to complete checkout for the listing.

Does entering guarantee I can buy the item?

No. Entering gives you a ticket for the draw. Only selected winners receive the first chance to buy.

What happens if a winner does not checkout?

The claim can expire, and another eligible entrant may be selected while the listing still has available quantity.

Why did I get a generic rejection message?

Generic messages help protect private account details and keep fair-entry checks harder to abuse. The best next step is to confirm your email, complete your profile, and make sure the draw is still open.
