Kingpin Guide

Buyer protection, safe checkout, and getting help

Kingpin is built for real marketplace purchases. This guide explains what buyers should check before paying, what to expect after checkout, and when to ask Kingpin for help.

What buyer protection means

Buyer protection starts with clear listings, in-app checkout, order records, seller communication, and delivery tracking where available. It helps Kingpin review what happened if an order does not go as expected.

  • Use Kingpin checkout so the order has a record.
  • Read the listing details, photos, condition notes, and shipping terms.
  • Ask questions before buying if sizing, brand, condition, or included parts are unclear.

Use safe checkout habits

Keep payment and order conversation inside Kingpin whenever possible. That makes the purchase easier to understand and easier to review if something goes wrong.

Check the photos

Look for every side of the deck, trucks, wheels, packaging, and any damage the seller mentions.

Confirm the parts

For completes, ask what deck, trucks, wheels, tape, and tuning are included.

Watch for pressure

Slow down if someone pushes you to pay outside the app or says you cannot ask questions.

Keep records

Use order messages so important details stay attached to the purchase.

Delivery and item issues

If tracking stalls, the package arrives damaged, or the item does not match the listing, save photos and messages. Clear records help everyone solve the issue faster.

  1. Message the seller with the order number and a short description.
  2. Attach photos of packaging, labels, damage, or missing parts.
  3. Give the seller a reasonable chance to respond before escalating.

When to ask Kingpin for help

Ask for help when the seller is not responding, the item is materially different from the listing, tracking never updates, or you believe a purchase needs review.

Include the order, listing, tracking details, messages, and photos. Do not post private payment or address information in public comments.
